About Oakminster
We are a financial planning practice based in Armstrong-under-Zemlak, advising clients across Great Britain on pensions, protection, inheritance questions, and director pay.
Why the practice exists
Households around the Welsh coast and further afield kept arriving at the same fork: plenty of product literature, little time to translate it into a sequence of decisions. Oakminster was set up to write plans that name the next contribution, the next nomination form, and the next conversation with a solicitor or accountant — not to sell a catalogue of funds.
How we work
Advice is delivered through defined consultations. You know the fee before chargeable work begins. We prefer plain language over jargon, and we document assumptions so you can challenge them. Where a specialist solicitor, tax adviser, or mortgage broker is required, we say so early rather than stretching our remit.
People
Client meetings are led by advisers who spend their week on fact-finds, cashflow illustrations, and recommendation letters. Administrative support handles scheduling, document collection, and progress notes so your file does not stall between appointments.
What clients can expect

- Meetings at 746 Drew Cliffs or by video when travel is difficult
- Copies of recommendations in writing, not only in conversation
- Respect for existing accountants and solicitors already on your team
