Preparing for a first advice meeting in Wales
What to bring, who should attend, and how we keep the first conversation focused on decisions rather than product forms.
Arrive with a short list of decisions you need to make in the next twelve months — for example, whether to increase pension contributions after a pay rise, or how to fund university costs without emptying ISAs. That list keeps the hour grounded.
Bring recent statements rather than perfect spreadsheets. We can work from pension provider letters, mortgage offers, and last year’s P60. If a partner shares finances, invite them; half-heard recommendations rarely stick.
Our Armstrong-under-Zemlak office meetings usually run sixty to ninety minutes for discovery. Video is available when travel is awkward, but estate and family conversations still work better face to face. Read our appointment guide for timing and documents.
